The St. Charles Companies this week welcomes native Southern Marylander, Deanna Dove, to the St. Charles lakefront stage on August 10th as part of the free Sunset Concert Festival series. Deanna Dove has established a reputation as a powerful, earthy singer, a multi-talented musician and guitarist and distinctive songwriter. She's earned a loyal audience for her ability to craft songs that include elements of rock, pop, blues, alt-country and gospel into a distinctly individual style that has earned her the accolade of "musical Nirvana." Dove’s lifelong experiences on and around the Chesapeake Bay have contributed to her compositional writing style. Currently on her "Peace, Love & Crabs” tour, Dove performs locally in an activist role in support of public awareness for restoring and preserving the Chesapeake Bay. For Dove’s tour schedule, song lyrics and more information about her recordings, please visit www.deannadove.com.
Along with the concert, residents and visitors from Waldorf and Southern Maryland can enjoy the St. Charles Farmers Market from 4-7:30 p.m. on Friday with delicious produce, fresh flowers, desserts, baked goods, honey and hand-crafted soaps and can dine on chicken sandwiches, salads, wraps, sides and drinks from Chick-fil-A®.
