Tuesday, June 12, 2012

The St. Charles Companies this week welcomes singer-songwriter, Lynn Hollyfield and her band to the St. Charles free waterfront Sunset Concert Festival this Friday, June 15th at 7 p.m.  Hollyfield brings a passionate blend of original contemporary pop, blues and folk music to the St. Charles venue, with crisp, acoustic guitar skills and heartfelt lyrics. Hollyfield hails from Staten Island, NY where she picked up the guitar at age 10 and ran with musical influences she experienced from home. She has found inspiration from the great jazz artists, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday as well as the Beatles, Cream and CSNY.  More information on Lynn Hollyfield can be found at

Along with the concert, residents and visitors from Waldorf and Southern Maryland can enjoy the St. Charles Farmers Market from 4-7:30 p.m. on Friday with delicious produce, fresh flowers, desserts, baked goods, honey and hand-crafted soaps and can dine on chicken sandwiches, salads, wraps, sides and drinks from Chick-fil-A®.
