Tuesday, August 20, 2013

The St. Charles Companies welcomes singer-songwriter, Lynn Hollyfield and her band to the St. Charles free waterfront Sunset Concert Festival on Friday, August 23rd at 7 p.m. Hollyfield brings a passionate blend of original contemporary pop, blues and folk music to the St. Charles venue, with crisp, acoustic guitar skills and heartfelt lyrics. Hollyfield hails from Staten Island, NY where she picked up the guitar at age 10 and ran with musical influences she experienced from home. She has found inspiration from the great jazz artists, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday as well as the Beatles, Cream and CSNY. The Maryland Independent praised her album, Layers, as "a pensive, roots-driven collection which features the artist's angelic voice and fluid guitar picking." (Maryland Independent, Dickson Mercer) More information on Lynn Hollyfield can be found at

Chick-Fil-A will be on hand to sell delicious chicken sandwiches, soft drinks, and other treats. Local artists will have their wares on display, and other food vendors will be on hand as well.
