Jennifer Cooper and GrooveSpan Perform at Sunset Concert Festival

The St. Charles Companies welcomes the return of Jennifer Cooper and GrooveSpan to the FREE St. Charles’ Sunset Concert Festival on Friday evening, July 12th at 7:00 pm.  GrooveSpan is the ensemble gathered by Jennifer to satiate her desire to sing her favorite tunes from every genre, decade, style, and groove of popular music! This family-friendly concert will feature everything from vintage jazz standards to classic rock. GrooveSpan "spans the grooves of time" with an extraordinary collective of versatile musicians, who perform regularly at a variety of venues and events, with sensational proficiency, accuracy, artistry, and energy. Jazz to rock, classic to modern! GrooveSpan has a loyal following throughout Southern Maryland and has performed at The Ruddy Duck, The Back Creek Bistro, The Blue Dog, and the Running Hare Vineyard. Chick-Fil-A will be on hand to sell delicious chicken sandwiches, soft drinks, and other treats. Local artists will have their wares on display, and other food vendors will be on hand as well.

The Sunset Concert Festival is a summer-long arts festival sponsored by The St. Charles Companies. Featuring a variety of local artists and musical genres, the concerts are being held every Friday night through August 30th.

Plenty of free parking is available and concert goers are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs for seating. Coolers are permitted, but alcohol and glass containers are not permitted. Concerts will end at dusk and all performances are free and open to the public. The O’Donnell Lake Restaurant Park is located at the intersection of St. Patrick’s Drive and Smallwood Drive West in St. Charles, across from the movie theater and the St. Charles Towne Center.

Directions: From Route 301, turn onto Smallwood Drive West. Go through two lights, and O’Donnell Lake will be on your right, just past Sears Automotive. For directions using internet-based map programs, use the address 10440 O’Donnell Place.
