Initial results are outstanding

Have you been to the renovated St. Charles movie theaters?
AMC is completing a $4.5 million to upgrade Charles County's only first-run movie theater, and the results so far are spectacular.

My family saw The Avengers in 3D at the theater recently, and the sound and picture quality was terrific. Even better was the new, leather, power reclining seats--but be careful, because the seats are so large and comfortable it would be easy to take a nap in one! Better yet, the 3D film at times seemed to jump off the screen and into your lap--a lot like the interactive rides at Universal Studios in Orlando.
The changes include a complete redesign of the lobby and concessions as well, making much easier and efficient to get the popcorn and soda that complete your movie experience.
Also a major upgrade--you can now buy your tickets and print them at home, saving time in line at the theater. The smaller number of seats in theater I was in helped keep the amount of conversation during the show to a minimum, and clearing all the old video games from the lobby gave it a cleaner, fresher appearance as well. All around, good job AMC--we'll be back soon. Dinner and a movie in St. Charles is now another great entertainment option!
