4th of July Brings Fun and Fireworks Shows to St. Charles

This 4th of July in St. Charles is going to be better than ever with two exciting ways for you and your family to celebrate Independence Day.
Bring the whole family to the Smallwood Village Center for our community's longest-running July 4th tradition. Join us after your holiday BBQ at the beautifully renovated Post Office Lake and watch the dramatic fireworks, brought to you the neighborhood associations of Bannister, Wakefield and Huntington.

Or join us for a fun-filled Fourth at Regency Furniture Stadium for the Best of Charles County starting at 4:30. This family-friendly event sponsored by Charles County Government offers something for everyone with games, refreshments and live performances. Local businesses, artisans, and food vendors will be showcased with wonderful food for sale and great shopping!  Kids of all ages will enjoy amusements in the Celebrate Charles Family Fun Zone. Guests will enjoy live music from John Luskey and Three Sixty. A fireworks display will top off the evening at 9:30 pm. Best of Charles County vendors currently include: ABC Wellness and Fitness Center, Artist Mark T. Hayes, Banks-Brown Vocal Studio, Brasas Rotisserie and Grill, Caldwell Lee -The Port Tobacco Poet, Diane's Treasures, G-Rob Jerk Ribs and BBQ, Linda's Sewing Boutique, and Spin It Again.
Guests will also be able to enjoy the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs baseball game against the Camden Riversharks. Game time is 6:35pm and tickets can be purchased by calling 301.638.9788 or visiting www.somdbluecrabs.com. Guests who purchase a ticket to the game will receive a complimentary wristband for the Celebrate Charles Family Fun Zone and will have a perfect view of the fireworks!
Admission and parking to the Best of Charles County is free. Celebrate Charles Family Fun Zone Wristbands are $5. Additional parking will be available at Mary B. Neal Elementary, 12105 St. Georges Drive in St. Charles. Free shuttles will be available to transport guests between the school and Regency Furniture Stadium.
