July 4th Family Event Planned for Restaurant Park
Kick off your Fourth of July at a family fun day celebration sponsored by Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza and ACPT!
The Independence Day funfest at O’Donnell Lake Restaurant Park will include everything you need to get your holiday celebration off to a rollicking start. Kids will enjoy the Dalmation Fun Zone, Moon Bounce, and teens and adults will test their skills on the 80-feet long obstacle challenge, the gladiator joust, and the giant inflatable rock wall volcano.
There will also be plenty of fun for younger kids as well, including performances by a magician, clown, and face painting, cotton candy to satisfy those with a sweet tooth, and snow cones for a great American way to beat the summer heat.
“Throughout the country, the 4th of July is a day for American families and communities to join together in celebration of the values, ideals, and freedoms that make our country great,” said Ben Hiatt, Director of Operations, in announcing the event. “Boston’s and the O’Donnell Lake Restaurant Park are an ideal place for the St. Charles community to come together in celebration of the 4th of July, and we are happy to work with residents and ACPT to make this event a success.
Additional aspects of the event will add to the fun and tempt the palate. T-Bone and Heather, morning hosts from local radio station 98 Star FM, will be on hand to broadcast live from the event. Players from St. Charles’ home team, the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, will be on hand to sign autographs and meet fans.
The event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at O’Donnell Lake Restaurant Park, off of Smallwood Drive West near the St. Charles Towne Center. Admission is $5 per child, or $10 for a family of four, and includes access to all the games and rides. Attendees 18 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Boston’s will provide a delicious array of hamburgers, hot dogs, and other traditional American fare, for a small additional fee.
“Events like these add to the quality of life in St. Charles,” said Craig Renner of ACPT. “I hope residents from throughout St Charles will come out to enjoy the food, fun, and festivities at the Restaurant Park and make this an enjoyable and memorable kickoff to their families’ 4th of July celebrations.” |
